[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole herb of Campanula corydalis of the Campanulaceae family.

[Original form] Campanula is a perennial herb, 40-125cm tall. Stems erect, sometimes branched in upper part. The lower stem leaves have long petioles, the leaf blades are oblong to cordate-ovate, the upper ones are sessile, elliptical, oblong to ovate-lanceolate, the leaf blades are 7-15cm long and 1.7-7cm wide; all leaf margins have sharp serrations, the stems and leaves are almost glabrous or sparsely covered with white stiff hairs or densely covered with white pubescence. Several flowers are gathered in a head inflorescence, usually many in number. In addition to the compound head inflorescence at the top of the stem, there are also multiple solitary inflorescences. There is a bract of varying sizes under each flower. The flower in the middle of the head inflorescence blooms first and its bracts are the smallest. The calyx lobes are awl-shaped. The corolla is purple, blue-purple or blue, tubular-bell-shaped, 1.5-2.5cm long, and 5-lobed to the middle. Capsule obovate. The seeds are oblong, flat, 1-1.5 mm long. Flowering period is from July to September.
