[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole herb of the dicotyledonous plant Apocynaceae.

【Original form】Climbing shrub. The whole plant has latex, and except for the corolla and column, the whole plant is covered with small hairs. Leaves are opposite, papery; petiole 0.5-2.5cm long, with 3-4 clustered glandular glands at the top; leaf blade ovate, 1.3-3cm long, 0.9-2.5cm wide, heart-shaped at the base; lateral veins about 4 on each side, protruding on the back of the leaf. The umbel-shaped cymbidium inflorescence is axillary, up to 5 cm long, with up to 15 flowers; the calyx lobes are oval; there are 5 small glands at the inner base; the corolla is white, paracylindric, the lobes are about 5 mm long, veined, and ciliate on the edges; the paracorona lobes are fleshy; the pollinia are oblong and erect; the ovary is sparsely pubescent, the style is short cylindrical, the stigma base is pentagonal, and the apex is shortly 2-lobed. The follicles are lanceolate, 3.5-5cm long and up to 7mm in diameter. The seeds are oval, up to 7mm long and about 4mm wide, with 2cm long white silky hairs at the tip. The flowering period is from April to August, and the fruiting period is October.
