Fritillaria is a perennial herb. It is a common medicine. It has many classifications. For example, there are Fritillaria cirrhosa and Fritillaria chuanxiong. Its main production areas are Qinghai, Sichuan and other places in my country. As for which one is better, it should be said that they have their own characteristics. For example, Fritillaria cirrhosa has the effects of clearing heat and resolving phlegm, moistening the lungs and relieving cough. Let's take a brief look at which one is better, Fritillaria cirrhosa or Fritillaria chuanxiong? Which is better, Fritillaria cirrhosa or Fritillaria cirrhosa? 1. Fritillaria cirrhosa, also known as Chuanbei It is the dried bulb of Fritillaria cirrhosa, Fritillaria thunbergii, Fritillaria thunbergii and Fritillaria thunbergii of the Liliaceae family. The first three types are commonly called "songbei" and "qingbei" according to their different properties, and the latter is commonly called "lubei". Because it is mainly produced in Sichuan, it is generally called Chuanbei, or Chuanbei for short. It has better quality and is regarded as an authentic medicinal material. In ancient times, some people believed that the best Fritillaria cirrhosa had a flat bottom and a pointed head, hence the term "pointed Fritillaria". It is cool in nature, sweet and mild, enters the lung meridian and stomach meridian, and has the effects of moistening the lungs, relieving cough, reducing phlegm and relieving asthma, clearing away heat and reducing phlegm. 2. Fritillaria thunbergii, also known as Fritillaria thunbergii It is the dried bulb of the Liliaceae plant Fritillaria thunbergii, which is mainly distributed in the Changbai Mountains and the southern mountainous areas of Lesser Khingan Mountains in the Northeast region, and is mainly produced in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Hebei and other provinces. This medicine was originally used outside the Great Wall as a local medicine. During the Xianfeng period in the mid-19th century, the Han, Korean, Manchu, Hui and other ethnic groups in Northeast China had folk prescriptions such as "Fritillaria Pear" to treat lung heat, cough and asthma. At the beginning of the 20th century, medicinal materials such as Fritillaria dahurica were already being traded in Jilin City and sold to the interior of the country. Thus, Fritillaria dahurica began to enter the interior medicinal material market and was supplied to various places for medicinal purposes. It is bitter and pungent in nature and slightly cold in nature. It enters the lung meridian, clears away heat and moistens the lungs, resolves phlegm and relieves cough. It is mainly used to treat lung heat and dry cough, dry cough with little phlegm, yin deficiency and fatigue cough, coughing up blood in sputum, scrofula, and mastitis. Pingbei has been widely used for a relatively short period of time. Because of its "spicy and dispersing" taste and "spicy entering the lungs", it is mostly used in clinical Chinese medicine to treat lung diseases, carbuncles, etc. It can be used to prepare compound Fritillaria tablets, pediatric Niuhuang Qingfei Powder and other Chinese patent medicines, and its usage is large. Sichuan Fritillaria has a longer application time, is cool and sweet in nature, and is moister than Zhejiang Fritillaria, so it is often used for symptoms of lung deficiency, long-term cough, little phlegm and dry throat. In recent years, bioalkalis with antitussive and expectorant effects have been extracted from the stems, leaves, flowers and fruits of Fritillaria cirrhosa. These have been used to make new drugs for the treatment of bronchitis, with good results, demonstrating a new approach to comprehensive utilization. From this we can see that there are differences between the two in terms of raw materials, origin, efficacy and main indications. Due to differences in individual constitution and the nature of the disease, the medicines used are also different. Therefore, when purchasing, everyone must learn to distinguish between Fritillaria thunbergii and Fritillaria cirrhosa. |
