[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole herb of Pilea corylifolia of the Urticaceae family.

[Original form] Herbaceous, up to 70cm tall. Stems ± ribbed, rarely branched. Leaves opposite; petiole 2-6cm long; stipules large, oblong, 1-2cm long, obtuse at apex, persistent or semi-persistent; leaf blade ovate, ovate-elliptic or lanceolate, rarely obovate, 6-16cm long, 3-6cm wide, apex acuminate or caudate-acuminate, base broadly cuneate to shallowly cordate, margin coarsely serrulate, obtusely serrulate and coarsely dentate, sometimes doubly serrulate, nearly glabrous on both sides, but with scattered fusiform stalactites; basal veins 3, lateral veins numerous. Dioecious or monoecious, with cymose corymbs; about half the length of the petiole; male flowers often have stalks, 4 tepals, fused to the middle; 4 stamens, with extremely small reduced pistils; female flowers have 3 tepals, fused to the middle to form a cup, with triangular-semicircular lobes, and reduced stamens are scale-like and oblong. Achenes are relatively large, usually over 1mm, with oblique tips, smooth surface when ripe, or with inconspicuous dot-like protrusions. Flowering period is June-September, and fruiting period is September-November.
