The rare and precious medicinal materials mainly include Panax notoginseng, Artemisia balsamifera, Bezoar, etc.; the authentic medicinal materials mainly include Gastrodia elata, Eucommia ulmoides, Dendrobium candidum, Magnolia officinalis, Pinellia ternata, Evodia rutaecarpa, Phellodendron chinense, Codonopsis pilosula, Polygonum multiflorum, Gentiana scabra, Asparagus cochinchinensis, Polygonatum sibiricum, Honeysuckle, Platycodon grandiflorum, Gallnut, Cinnabaris, Realgar, etc. 35 kinds. Our province has more than 100 varieties of Chinese medicinal materials that are competitive in the country, and more than 90 varieties are exported. Gastrodia elata, Eucommia ulmoides, Cinnabaris, etc. enjoy a high reputation both in ancient and modern times, both at home and abroad. In recent years, great progress has been made in the research on the introduction and domestication of authentic wild Chinese medicinal materials. Wild materials have been transformed into domesticated materials and more than 70 authentic medicinal materials have been successfully introduced, including Gastrodia elata, Eucommia ulmoides, Magnolia officinalis, Dendrobium officinale, and Blumea balsamifera.

The traditional Chinese medicines in Guizhou Province not only have high medicinal value, but also have broad prospects for industrial development. The production of gallnut, yam, sea buckthorn, kiwi fruit, houttuynia cordata, ginkgo, tremella, konjac, and bitter tea is currently listed as a key development and cultivation project in the green industry.
