[Original morphology] Perennial herb, 13 to 30 cm tall, glabrous. The basal petiole is 6-7.5 cm long, with a leaf sheath at the base; the leaf blade is 3-lobed and compound; the middle lobe is nearly obovate, with a cuneate base, the lobes on both sides are obliquely elliptical, and the base is obliquely broadly cuneate, 2-4.3 cm long, 1.5-2.5 cm wide, with deep notches on the edges, and the teeth have prickles at the tip, 1-2 mm long, green on the upper side, and the petiole and lower side are purple-red; the stem leaves are small, deeply 3-lobed; the top leaves are extremely small and unlobed. Umbels, arranged in compound umbels; bracts linear; flowers unisexual; male flowers located at the edge, petiolate, calyx teeth 5, linear-lanceolate, petals white or lavender, ovate, concave at apex, with narrow and infolded ligules; female flowers located in the center of the inflorescence, with short petioles or nearly sessile, sepals and petals the same as male flowers.
