【Original form】 Shrub, 1-3m high. The twigs are cylindrical, and the young parts are covered with short hairs. Leaves are opposite; petioles are 6-10mm long; stipules are small, triangular, with pointed apex, about 3mm long; leaf blades are thinly leathery, oblong or oblong-lanceolate, 12-18 (-25) cm long, 2.5-6 cm wide; apex acuminate, base broadly cuneate or obtuse, and covered with short hairs on the underside. Flowers are bunched in leaf axils with 3-5 in number; flowers are sessile; calyx is bell-shaped, 3-4mm long, pubescent, 4-lobed at the apex, lobes are ovate, recurved, and involute at the edges; corolla is white or slightly bluish, about 8mm long, corolla is about 4mm long, pubescent on the outside, 5-6-lobed at the apex, lobes are lanceolate, apex folded and thick; the number of stamens and ovary chambers is the same as the number of corolla lobes. The drupe is spherical, pubescent, 5-6 mm in diameter, and blue when ripe. The flowering period is between spring and summer.
