[Source] It is the root of Ficus microcarpa, a plant of the Moraceae family.

【Original form】Deciduous shrub. The branches are mostly curved, brown, and the young branches are covered with white soft hairs. Leaves are alternate and short-stalked; leaf blades are papery, elliptic to elliptic-oblanceolate, 4 to 12 cm long, 2 to 3.5 cm wide, with a pointed tip and gradually shrinking and narrowing below the middle. The base is rounded to cuneate, with slightly wavy edges or nearly entire edges, dark green above and light green below, with short hairs, pinnate veins intertwined near the edges, and obvious reticulate veins. The inflorescences are axillary. When ripe, the hidden fruit is brown-red, obovate, about 1.2 cm long, and covered with short, coarse hairs.

[Habitat distribution] Grown in the shade of mountain forests. Distributed in Guizhou, Guangxi, Fujian, Zhejiang and other places.

【Functions and indications】 Dispel wind, strengthen the spleen, and eliminate dampness. Treat rheumatic pain, fatigue, indigestion, and leucorrhea.

[Usage and Dosage] For internal use: decoct in water, 1 to 2 liang; or stew with meat. For external use: decoction for fumigation and washing.

[Additional prescription] ① Treat rheumatic joint pain: 2 to 3 liang of dried root of Ficus microcarpa, add pig's feet into wine or water and stew together.
