The tower-shaped panicle inflorescence is terminal and covered with stellate hairs; the pedicels are 2-3 cm long and have nodes at the proximal end; the calyx is disc-shaped, with 5 lobes, ovate, 7-10 mm long; the flowers are yellow to red, 1.5-2 cm in diameter, the petals are obovate, 15-17 mm long, and glabrous; the stamen column is covered with stellate stiff hairs. The fruit is nearly spherical, with 10 subcarps, ovate, rounded at the top, and about 4mm long. Flowering period is from June to August.
