There are several varieties of Panax notoginseng

Panax notoginseng, also known as Sanqi, is a famous specialty of Yunnan, and its price in the early stage is also very high. In addition, there are many differences in varieties, so everyone must have knowledge and understanding of the weather, and be able to truly judge what kind of variety it is when purchasing, so as not to easily buy the wrong one.

Panax notoginseng, also known as "Sanqi", is a famous specialty of Guangxi and Yunnan. It is a plant of the genus Panax in the Araliaceae family, a perennial herb, and its underground stems are used for medicinal purposes. It originally grew naturally in the wild and was discovered and used by the Chinese people a long time ago, and later it was turned to artificial cultivation. Because this plant generally has three petioles, and each petiole often has seven leaves, it is commonly called "Sanqi". According to Guishun Prefecture Records of the Qing Dynasty, "Panax notoginseng...the one produced in Tianzhou is the best." Volume 3 of Baise Ting Records of the Qing Dynasty also said that because Panax notoginseng actually came from Tianzhou, it "is commonly known as Tianqi."

The specific classification method is that Panax notoginseng can be divided into ordinary first and second grade Panax notoginseng; high-quality Panax notoginseng; green Panax notoginseng; and organic Panax notoginseng.

1. Fertilizers and pesticides are not used in a standardized manner during the planting process of ordinary Panax notoginseng. The plants are dug up when mature, cut and processed, and then sold. The first-grade ordinary Panax notoginseng plants are uniform and full, with a small amount of nipples, and do not exceed the specifications. The second-grade ordinary Panax notoginseng plants have nipples, and the actual specifications are insufficient.

2. The pesticide residue and heavy metal content of high-quality Panax notoginseng meets the local and national standards for Panax notoginseng. The specifications of Panax notoginseng must meet the standards: without the reed head (i.e. the cut end). At present, the yield per mu of high-quality Panax notoginseng is low, the output in the production area is also small, while the market demand is large, so the price is relatively high.

3. The operation of green Panax notoginseng is strictly regulated from seed cultivation and screening, planting, processing, packaging and sales. Especially during the planting process, ecological agriculture replaces traditional chemical agriculture, which ensures the intrinsic quality of Panax notoginseng.

4.
