[Source] It is Elatostema umbellatum Blume var. majus Maxim. [E. involucratum Franch. et Sav.], a plant of the Urticaceae family. The whole plant is used as medicine. Harvest in summer and autumn, dry and set aside.

【Nature and flavor】 Slightly bitter, neutral.

【Functions and indications】 Clears away heat and dampness, promotes blood circulation and reduces swelling. Used for bacterial dysentery; used externally to treat rheumatic joint pain, fractures, carbuncles, boils and swellings.
