[Source] Medicinal material source: the gallbladder of the Tibetan catfish of the family Catfish.

[Original morphology] Zang-Chuan, with an elongated body. The body is naked and scaleless. The lateral line is not obvious, the head is flat, the eyes are small, and they are positioned laterally upward. Kiss round. There are 4 pairs of whiskers: 1 pair of nasal whiskers with a "V"-shaped base; 1 pair of maxillary whiskers with an enlarged "T"-shaped base; and 2 pairs of mandibular whiskers. Mouth large, arched, and inferior. Dorsal fin I, 6 weak spines. The adipose fin is low, located behind the dorsal fin, and its length is slightly longer than the head; anal fins I-II, 5-6. Pectoral fins 1-11, fleshy. Pelvic fins 1-5, rounded, unbranched. Caudal fin truncated. The back and sides of the body are yellow-green or gray-green, and the abdomen is yellow-white. There are inconspicuous lumpy spots on the sides of the body.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Lives under rocks and between rocks in rapid water. Feeds on annelids and larvae.
