The medicinal value of cicadas

The medicinal value of cicadas

As society continues to progress, people's thinking is also constantly progressing. People will now eat foods that they didn't dare to try before. For example, cicadas. In the past, people would never have thought that they could be eaten as food. But now Zhiliao has made different varieties, allowing people to choose according to different tastes. In fact, any edible food contains certain nutrients.

In fact, the animals people eat nowadays are not only cicadas, but also donkeys, turtles, etc. Compared with other foods, these foods are actually more valuable and have higher nutritional value. Cicadas are rich in protein. The body needs a relatively high amount of protein, so what is the medicinal value of cicadas?

Golden cicada has medicinal functions.

When the mature nymph of the golden cicada changes into an adult, the outer shell it sheds is called cicada molt, also known as "cicada retreat" or "cicada skin". Its main components include chitin and protein. It tastes sweet, salty and cold, enters the lung and liver meridians, and is an important pungent and cool Chinese medicine for relieving exterior symptoms. As a traditional Chinese medicine ingredient, cicada shells have antibacterial, cold-relieving, tranquilizing and diuretic functions. Fresh and tender golden cicada nymphs and adults, especially the nymphs, are not only nutritious and delicious, but also have extremely high medicinal value, making them top-grade medicinal foods.
