What are the effects of Alisma?

Alisma, also known as water diarrhea, is a marsh plant that grows in swamps. It has the effects of clearing heat, promoting diuresis and draining moisture. It is distributed in all provinces of my country. Although Alisma orientalis has great benefits to the human body, I believe that many people have never heard of this name, let alone understand its effects. So what exactly are the effects of Alisma orientalis? How many benefits does it bring to the human body? Let us take a look at it together below.

Alisma generally lives on the edge of swamps. The ground Adai likes humid and warm weather. When it is a seedling, it likes a shady environment very much. After it grows into a mature plant, it will prefer sunlight. It is very afraid of cold. Generally, it lives in areas below 800m above sea level and can generally be cultivated.

It is advisable to choose paddy fields with sufficient sunlight, rich humus, slightly sticky soil, and a reliable water source for cultivation. It is not suitable to be planted in cold-soaked fields with former rice or medium-season rice, too sandy texture, or low soil temperature.

It is recorded in Leigong Yaoxingfu that "Zhi Xie can promote diuresis and relieve stranguria and replenish yin deficiency"

Nature and flavor: sweet, cold.

Meridians: Enters the kidney and bladder meridians.

Other names: water diarrhea, Mang Yu, swan diarrhea "Ben Jing", Ze Zhi, Ji Xie "Bie Lu", swan egg, Tian Tu "Compilation of Medicinal Materials", Yu Sun "Compendium of Materia Medica".

The above is a brief introduction about Alisma orientalis. I believe everyone has a certain understanding of Alisma orientalis. It is worth noting that Alisma cannot be eaten with sea clams and Manila clams, but can be used with Poria cocos. In addition, Alisma can also relieve kidney fire and is often used to treat symptoms such as dizziness caused by excessive kidney fire.
