Airbnb New Year's Eve guest check-in data and annual growth rate from 2009 to 2019

Entering 2020, Airbnb may realize "direct listing" this year. After becoming a listed company, Airbnb will disclose more business and financial figures to the public.

Prior to this, the American technology media TechCrunch also conducted regular growth data assessments on the company by combining Airbnb's official data with third-party data.

Airbnb regularly releases a New Year’s Eve guest stay forecast each year, providing a loose and interesting indicator of the company’s overall growth.

It’s important to note that guest data is at most an estimate of Airbnb’s corresponding revenue. We cannot use it to know its actual guest revenue ratio. For example, Airbnb may see an increase in the number of guests staying on New Year’s Eve, but the average revenue per guest may still decrease.

But generally speaking, an increase in the number of guests means more rentals, which could bring more overall revenue to Airbnb. Airbnb's New Year's Eve guest check-in data can also reflect changes in its growth rate.
