【Original morphology】Plant height 60-110cm. The rhizome is horizontal, densely covered with yellow-brown, imbricately arranged lanceolate scales, about 1 cm long, with a long and gradually pointed tip. Leaves subspermous; petiole 50-60cm long, straw color, densely covered with dark brown lanceolate scales at the bottom; rachis and underside of each rachis sparsely covered with dark brown ciliate scales; leaf blade triangular, 50-55cm long, 25-30cm wide at the base, tripinnate; pinnae about 10 pairs, alternate, obliquely upward, the lower pinnae petiole 2-3cm long, triangular lanceolate, up to 20cm long, about 10cm wide, one pinnula on the lower side of the base is longer; one pinnula alternate, petiole about 5mm long, apex long acuminate; terminal pinnules 8-10 pairs, nearly sessile, oblong-lanceolate, apex mucronate, upper base truncated and slightly eared, lower side cuneate, shallow lobes with thorns on the margins, one longer on the upper side of the base; veins pinnate, forked, not obvious above. The sori are large, round, dorsally borne at the tips of the veinlets, in a row on each side of the midrib; the sori cap is round, brown, and caducous early.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown under evergreen broad-leaved forests.
