【Original morphology】 Plant height 40-60cm. The rhizome is short and erect, with densely linear-lanceolate scales on the top and the base of the enlarged and downward-tapered petiole. Leaves are clustered; petiole is 15-25cm long, light straw color, smooth upward; leaf blade is thin papery, oblong, 25-35cm long, 14-20cm wide, abruptly narrowed at the apex, with hard spinous hairs on the narrow edges along the longitudinal grooves on the rachis above, densely covered with short glandular hairs below, and bipinnate; pinnae are arched upward, the lower pairs are slightly shortened, the middle ones are 13-18cm long, 1.2-1.5cm wide, lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, with sharp teeth at the tip; pinnae are usually closely connected, sessile, with a pair of slightly larger ones at the base, often covering the rachis, nearly square, with large and open sharp teeth on the edges; lateral veins are pinnate, simple or forked, and the first veinlets all extend to the tips of the teeth. The sori are oblong and borne dorsally between the veinlets at the lower part of the lobes; the sori lid is oblong.
