[Original form] Hairy-jointed rabbit-lip flower, perennial herb or dwarf semi-shrub, 15-25cm tall. The root is thick and vertical. The stem is much branched, woody, quadrangular, covered with small bristles, more or less swollen and pubescent at the nodes, and covered with wool at the lower nodes, and covered with persistent leaf sheaths.
