[Source] Medicinal material source: It is the oleoresin of the oil tree of the Dipterocarpaceae family or the crystalline compounds precipitated therein.

[Original form] The oil palm is a tall tree containing aromatic resin. The bark is grayish white and cracked longitudinally; the branches are densely covered with gray hairs and have annular stipule marks. Leaves are alternate, leathery; petiole 2-3cm long, covered with dark brown or dark yellow hairs; leaf blade ovate-oblong, 20-35cm long, 8-13cm wide, gradually pointed at the apex, with fine serrations or wavy edges, base rounded or slightly cordate, veins prominent on the back, covered with stellate hairs. 3-6 flowers are gathered in racemes; 5 sepals, united at the base into a bell shape; 5 petals, pink, linear-oblong, covered with gray hairs; anthers are linear; ovary is hairy, style is cylindrical. The fruit is oblong or oval, about 3cm in diameter, with linear-lanceolate fruit wings, about 12-15cm long and 3cm wide, with one vein and small protrusions on both sides. The flowering period is February-March, and the fruiting period is June-July.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Cultivated on low-altitude hillsides and near villages.

【Chemical composition】 The oil tree contains dipterocarpol.

【Nature and flavor】 Pungent; bitter; cool

【Meridian】 Heart; Liver; Lung

【Functions and indications】Opens the mind and refreshes the spirit; dissipates heat and relieves pain. It is used to treat lockjaw caused by stroke, coma caused by fever, epilepsy, phlegm-induced confusion, qi stagnation and deafness, red eyes and cataracts, mouth sores, throat paralysis, and sores.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral administration: in pills or powder, 0.15-0.3g. For external use: take appropriate amount, grind into powder and sprinkle or blow, apply or apply on affected area; or mix and apply on affected area.

【Note】 It is forbidden for people with Qi and blood deficiency and pregnant women to take this product.

[Additional prescription] Kapur is the transliteration of the Malay word Kapur.
