[Source] The whole herb of Achillea alpina L., Achillea millefolium L. and Achillea wilsoniana (Heim.) Heim., all plants of the genus Achillea in the Asteraceae family. Harvest in summer and autumn, wash, and use fresh or dry.

【Nature and flavor】 Pungent, bitter, neutral. Slightly poisonous.

【Functions and indications】Detoxification, swelling reduction, hemostasis and pain relief. Used for rheumatic pain, toothache, abdominal pain caused by amenorrhea, stomachache, enteritis, and dysentery; used externally to treat snake bites, carbuncles, boils, swellings, injuries from falls, and bleeding from trauma.

[Source] The best quality product of Ben Jing is Achillea Millet. "Bielu" says: "It grows in Shaoshi (now Songshan Mountain in Dengfeng County, Henan Province). "Bencao Tujing" says: "It grows in the mountains and valleys of Shaoshi, next to the Baigui Temple in Shangcai County, Caizhou (now Runan County, Henan Province). It grows in clumps like wormwood, five or six feet high, with one stem having 10 to 20 stems, and as many as 50 stems. The stems are straight when grown, so it is different from other wormwoods.
