[Original form] Aconitum bicolor is a perennial herb. The root is cylindrical, 10-15cm long. The stem is twining, 1-2.5m long, sparsely covered with recurved short soft hairs. Leaves are alternate; basal leaves and leaves at the bottom of the stem have long petioles, which are up to 20 cm long; leaf blades are pentagonal-reniform, 6.5-12 cm long, 9.5-22 cm wide, with a cordate base, 3 deeply lobed near the middle, the central deep lobe is rhombic, the lateral deep lobes are unequally 2 shallowly lobed, the upper part of the shallow lobes is not obviously 3 shallowly lobed, the margins are coarsely dentate, and both sides are sparsely covered with short procumbent hairs. Raceme, 6-14cm long, with 3-8 flowers; inflorescence axis and pedicel densely covered with extended short soft hairs; bracts linear, 3-3.5mm long; pedicel 5-9mm long; bracteoles born at the base or middle of the pedicel; bisexual flowers, bilaterally symmetrical; sepals 5, petal-shaped, upper sepal cylindrical, 1.3-2cm long, beak short, slightly curved downward, lower edge 1-1.3cm long, lavender, covered with extended soft hairs; petals 2, nearly the same length as the upper sepal, spur thin, longer than the lip, fisted, glabrous; stamens numerous, filaments entire, glabrous; carpels 3, hairy or glabrous. Follicles, about 1.2 cm long. Seeds numerous, inverted conical triangle, about 2.5mm long, with narrow transverse wings. The flowering period is August-September, and the fruiting period is September-October.
