[Source] The stems and leaves of Impatiens balsamina of the Impatiens family. Available all year round.

[Original form] Annual herb, 30 to 60 cm tall. The lower part of the stem is prostrate and rooted, while the upper part is erect, with 2 to more stipule-like spines on the nodes. Leaves are opposite, linear or linear-oblong to obovate, 2-10 cm long, 0.5-1 cm wide, with short pointed or obtuse tips, rounded or nearly cordate bases, and small, sparse hard spines on the edges; petioles are extremely short or sessile. The flowers are pink or white, axillary, solitary or in clusters, about 1 to 2 cm in diameter; the pedicels are long; the outer sepals extend into a thin tail shape and bend inward into a hook shape; the standard petal is round and gradually pointed, and the wing petals are half obovate, with an ear on one side of the base. Capsule oval, swollen in the middle. Flowering period is summer.

[Habitat distribution] Grown in moist places or by water or fields. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Yunnan and other places.
