[Source] Medicinal material source: The rhizome of Asarum sieboldii of the Ranunculaceae family.

[Original form] Asarum sieboldii, perennial herb, 8-18cm tall. The rhizome is short and densely covered with fibrous roots. Base 3-6; petiole 6-9cm long, hairy when young, then falling off and becoming hairless; leaf blade triangular-shaped broad ovate, 2.5-6.5cm long, 4.5-73.5cm wide, base deeply cordate, 3-lobed to the middle, lobes broadly ovate, entire, slightly obtuse or obtuse at the beginning, sometimes with a short tip, sparsely tender. The flower lobes are broadly ovate, entire, slightly obtuse or blunt at the apex, sometimes with a short tip, and sparsely pubescent. The stellate segments of the flowers are broadly ovate, entire, slightly obtuse or blunt at the beginning, sometimes with a short tip, and sparsely pubescent. [Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in shady and moist places beside streams, under forests or under grass slopes and rocks under the shade of trees at an altitude of more than 1000m.

[Properties] Identification of properties: the rhizome is cylindrical, 1-2cm long and 2-8mm in diameter.
