The cause of this condition, Cocci, is very complicated. Many people are unable to identify the real cause even if this bacillus appears in their bodies, so there is no way to carry out targeted treatment. If it is not dealt with in time after it occurs, it will have a great impact on one's vagina, and eventually lead to vaginal diseases. Gardnerella is a genus of monophyletic bacteria. It is a newly emerged genus of bacteria. Gardnerella is a partial mutation into a cocci-like bacillus. The bacteria are small, with round ends, no capsule, no flagella, and live a nutrient-anaerobic life, and some are obligate anaerobes. The bacteria are 0.3-0.45μm long and 0.1-0.2μm wide. They are smaller than lactobacilli and are pleomorphic. The optimum pH value for culture is 6.0-6.5. When the pH value is less than 4.0, Cannot grow. It does not produce amines, nor does it produce catalase or oxidase. H2O2 inhibition test was positive. The main product of sugar fermentation is acetic acid. Electron microscopy showed that the cell wall sheets had an overlapping structure and contained lipopolysaccharide. GV bacteria are usually gram-negative rods or variant cocci-like small rods. The bacterial body is 0.3-0.5um long, 0.1-0.2um wide, round at both ends, and has no capsule or flagella. Electron microscopic observations showed that the cell wall had a unique lamellar structure and lipopolysaccharide that was only found in Gram-negative bacteria (Huang Junyao 1991). A study of 74 culture-positive specimens showed that the GV bacteria were Gram-negative or erratically stained small rods or coccobacilli, with uneven coloration and polymorphic arrangement, and without flagella capsules and spores. It does not grow on ordinary culture medium. When cultured in a microaerobic environment at 37°C for 48 hours, the colonies are off-white, small and translucent, and there are no sticky S-shaped colonies. There is no hemolysis on the sheep blood agar plate culture medium. A hemolytic ring appears on human or rabbit blood agar plates. Biochemical reaction. Oxidase and catalase are all (-), glucose, maltose, dextrin, and starch are all (+); mannitol and sorbitol are (-). The mechanism by which GV causes BV is still unclear. For example, a biopsy of the vaginal wall mucosa of BV did not reveal any ulcers, erosions, or abnormal inflammation. It can be seen from this that GV does not act directly on the vaginal mucosa, but due to the increased reproduction of anaerobic bacteria parasitic in the vagina and the large amount of GV in vaginal secretions, it inhibits the reproduction of lactobacilli and decomposes amino acids to produce ammonia and amines, thereby increasing the pH value and GV obtains a suitable pH environment. Amines can cause shedding of the vaginal epithelium, increased vaginal discharge and a characteristic fishy odor. |
