Amoxicillin is an anti-inflammatory drug that we all should have taken before.

1 Ingredient

Amoxicillin. Its chemical name is: (2S,5R,6R)-3,3-dimethyl-6-[(R)-(-)-2-amino-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acetylamino]-7-oxo-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic acid trihydrate.

2 Indications

Duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, gonorrhea, pneumonia, acute bronchitis, folliculitis, pyelonephritis, cystitis, typhoid fever, gastroenterology, venereal disease, respiratory medicine, dermatology, nephrology, infectious diseases

3. Usage and Dosage

oral. The absorption of this product in the gastrointestinal tract is not affected by food, so it can be taken on an empty stomach or after a meal, and can be taken with food such as milk. Tear open the bag, pour the powder into an appropriate amount of cold boiled water, shake well and take orally; for children, take 6.7-13.3 mg/kg at a time based on body weight, once every 8 hours or as directed by a doctor.

4 Adverse reactions

1. Gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and pseudomembranous enterocolitis. 2. Allergic reactions such as rash, drug fever and asthma. 3. Anemia, thrombocytopenia, eosinophilia, etc. 4. Serum aminotransferase may be slightly elevated. 5. Superinfection caused by Candida albicans or drug-resistant bacteria.

5 Taboos

It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to penicillin or have a positive reaction to the penicillin skin test.

6. Notes

(1) Patients with infectious mononucleosis are prone to rash when using this product and should avoid using it. (2) Patients who undergo longer treatment should have their liver and kidney function and blood routine checked. (3) Amoxicillin may cause false positives in urine glucose tests using Benedict or Fehling reagents.

7 Pharmacological Actions

Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic with good antibacterial activity against Streptococci such as Streptococcus pneumoniae and hemolytic Streptococcus, aerobic Gram-positive cocci such as non-penicillinase-producing Staphylococci and Enterococcus faecalis, non-lactamase-producing strains of aerobic Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella, Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Helicobacter pylori. Amoxicillin exerts its bactericidal effect by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, causing the bacteria to quickly become spherical and then dissolve and rupture.

Amoxicillin granules have many functions and are really effective for some inflammations.
