Niuqipu tastes bitter and slightly spicy, is cold in nature and non-toxic. 1. To treat colds and flu: decoct 45g of Niuqi Pu in water and drink with brown sugar. Or take 45g of Niuqiepu, 30g each of Codonopsis pilosula and Ground Bean Grass, decocted in water and taken orally.

2. To treat lung heat and cough: decocted in water and taken orally with 30g each of Rhizoma Cynomorii and Rhizoma Pulmonariae.

3. To treat abdominal pain caused by heatstroke: 30 grams of Niuqiepu, pound it into a pulp, take the juice with wine.

4. To treat toothache caused by wind and fire: 2-3 fresh Niuqiepu plants, 1 duck egg, decocted in water and remove the residue, boil the duck egg in the soup, drink the soup and eat the egg.

5. To treat stomachache: Take 15g each of Niuqiepu and Shanpu ginger leaves, decoct in water and drink with wine.
