Panax notoginseng can replenish qi and blood, enhance people's immunity, and is a Chinese herbal medicine with high efficacy and function. People mainly use it to make tea or soup, which tastes delicious. There are many areas in our country where Panax notoginseng is grown. So what are the matters concerning the cultivation of Panax notoginseng? Just come with me and take a look. 1. Till the soil and apply fertilizer. In order to facilitate irrigation, people usually plant Panax notoginseng in some sloping areas. The water resources in the planting area should be sufficient. The soil layer for planting is preferably gravel soil or calcareous soil. Panax notoginseng should not be planted in heavy clay soil, which can easily cause soil deterioration, limit the growth of Panax notoginseng roots, and be unfavorable to the growth of its tubers. Panax notoginseng is different from other crops. Other crops cannot be planted in uncultivated soil, while the land where Panax notoginseng is planted must have been uncultivated for at least one year, and it cannot be planted with other nightshade vegetables and fruits. When tilling the soil, the soil layer must be deeply loosened and sterilized to remove the pathogens that have been lurking in the soil for a long time. Then, 5,000 kg of fully fermented organic fertilizer was applied to one acre of land as base fertilizer to maintain the organic matter in the soil. 2. Plant the seedlings. The planting method of Panax notoginseng is hole sowing, and furrows and ridges need to be made in the field before planting. The planting time is from October to November every year. Select high-quality seeds and then sterilize the seeds with a new lipid film, which can increase the number of seed germination. When planting, the relative density of planting should be controlled. The relative density of planting is closely related to the production and quality of crops in the middle and late stages. Generally, the seeds are sown in holes with a spacing of six centimeters between rows and five centimeters between trees, and then filled with soil to cover the seeds. If you are worried that the temperature of the soil layer will not meet the germination standard of the seeds, we can cover the surface of the soil with a layer of wheat straw to insulate and keep warm. 3. Seedling management methods. The most important task of seedling management is to manage field water and remove weeds. When the weather is relatively dry, we need to increase the amount of watering, watering once every five days or so; when encountering rainy weather, we need to reduce the amount of watering in advance and check whether the drainage pipes in the fields are blocked. If blocked, clear them in time. After the rain stops, drain the unnecessary water in the fields. The second is to weed regularly. Because the economic benefits of Panax notoginseng are high, in order to prevent Panax notoginseng from being damaged, we'd better weed manually without using chemical fertilizers, so as to ensure the yield of Panax notoginseng. 4. Cultivation techniques. When the seedlings are 15 centimeters tall, we need to plant them. It takes a year for the seedlings to grow to 15 centimeters. Be careful when pulling out the seedlings so as not to damage the root tissue. When planting, pull out some seedlings that are growing poorly or are sick. The relative density of planting is based on a spacing of 20 cm between rows and 15 cm between each tree. In order to ensure the survival rate of the seedlings, we must water them immediately after planting to take into account the growth needs of the seedlings. Panax notoginseng is a main stem that is afraid of strong light, so in summer, we need to build an outdoor tent in the field to shade the Panax notoginseng and avoid restricting its growth and development. The amount of fertilizer applied during the entire growth process of Panax notoginseng is very small. We should follow the principle of small amount of topdressing when applying fertilizer, which can promote the growth of the underground stems of the main stem and prevent the consumption of nutrients. 5. Pest control. There are many common diseases of Panax notoginseng, such as bacterial wilt, root rot and budworm. These diseases occur in a natural environment of high temperature and low temperature and damage the main stem. Therefore, we must pay attention to the soil moisture content in daily management and maintain the permeability of the field. When the main stem is infected with diseases and insect pests, use thiophanate-methyl or agricultural streptomycin for treatment; when the main stem is infected with diseases and insect pests, use dimethoate emulsion for treatment. |
