Other effects: For rats with experimental intestinal obstruction, intraperitoneal injection of 50 mg/kg of sennosides can restore the reduced intestinal mucosal histamine content to normal levels. In addition, it has been reported that this product has a curare-like effect, which can block the transmission of impulses at the neuromuscular junction and prevent the binding of acetylcholine to M receptors, thereby relaxing the muscles.
