[Other names] Variegated Jade Orchid, Pearl Grass

[Source] Medicinal material source: The tuberous root of the green-flowered broad-stamen orchid of the orchid family.

[Original morphology] Green-flowered broad-stamen orchid, a terrestrial tree, 30-75cm tall, with oblong-ovate tubers, erect stems, and leaves in the middle. The leaves are elliptical, ovate or lanceolate, with the base extending downward in a sheath-like manner and clasping the stem. The raceme is 7-15 cm long, with numerous densely packed florets, spike-like; bracts and bracteoles are lanceolate. Flowers are green, light green or light yellow; middle sepal is narrowly ovate, about 4mm long and 2mm wide, and lateral sepals are tongue-shaped; petals are broadly ovate, about 4mm long; lip is 3-lobed; spur is spherical; stigmas are 2, elongated, swollen at the tip, and brush-like on the lip; ovary is about 8mm long. Flowering period is from June to August.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing under forests, on hillsides, in grass or on rocks at an altitude of 500-1900m.

【Functions and indications】 Clears away heat and detoxifies. Mainly used for mastitis, scrofula, furunculosis, and snake bites
