[Source] It is the whole herb of the Asteraceae plant . Harvest in early spring.

[Original form] Perennial herb, 20 to 40 cm high. With thin creepers or rhizomes. The leaves are mostly borne at the base, linear-lanceolate or comb-lanceolate, 7-20 cm long, 1.5-8 cm wide, obtuse or pointed at the apex, with sparse pinnate-toothed or unfissured margins; the base is narrow and petiolate; there are only 1-2 stem leaves, sessile, and slightly clasping the stem. The capitula is arranged in a loose, corymbose panicle; the involucre is about 8 mm long, the outer bracts are very small, ovate, the inner bracts are linear-lanceolate, with pointed or obtuse tips; the ligulate flowers are yellow or white, with 5 teeth at the tip of the ligules; there are 5 stamens, and the anthers are black; the ovary is inferior, the upper part of the style has fine hairs, and the stigma is 2-lobed and black. Achenes are narrowly lanceolate; about 4 mm long, with a mouth, 10 longitudinal ridges on both sides, reddish brown when ripe; pappus is one layer, white, fine and soft. Flowering period is from April to May.

【Functions and indications】 ① "Guangxi Medicinal Plant List": "Stops diarrhea, reduces swelling. Treats snake bites and urinary stones."

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoct in water, 2 to 3 qian. For external use: mash and apply or decoct in water for washing.
