【Functions and indications】Soothes the stomach, stops diarrhea, stops bleeding, and resolves phlegm. It is used to treat nausea and vomiting, epigastric pain, diarrhea, bloody stool, infantile convulsions, and pus-filled eczema.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral administration: grind into powder, 1 to 2 qian. For external use: grind into powder and apply on skin.

[Additional prescription] ① To treat nausea and vomiting: snail shells and clam shells (both of which have been buried in mud for a long time) in equal parts. Fry it into white ash, add four white plum meats for every 2 liang of it, pound it into pills, put it into a sand box, cover it with mud, calcine it to preserve its properties, and grind it into fine powder. Take 2 qian each time, mixed with ginseng and atractylodes soup, or you can also take it with aged rice drink. (Compendium of Materia Medica)
