[Source] Medicinal material source: The fruiting body of the fungus Lactarius fusca of the Russula family.

【Original morphology】 The cap is 4-16cm wide. Flat and concave in the middle, nearly funnel-shaped; light yellow, ochre yellow, sticky, with rare ring marks. The flesh of the mushroom is white, the juice is white, and it does not change color after being injured. It has a slightly spicy and unpleasant odor. The folds are straight to slightly downward. White, turning ochre brown when mature. The spores are nearly spherical, light yellow, with tubercles, (6-8.5)μm×(5.5-7)μm. The stipe is light white or light flesh-colored, 1.5-5 cm long and 0.6-1.8 cm in diameter. It is sticky and slippery due to the well-developed mucilage, and can be distinguished from similar species.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: grows under mixed forests. Visible from July to October.

[Properties] Identification of properties: The cap is oblate, with a central umbilicus, or funnel-shaped, 3-12 cm in diameter, dark khaki or dirty orange, with dark orange-yellow concentric rings. The flesh is light white. The gills are dense, with transverse veins between the gills, and are white or yellowish brown. The stipe is 3.5-6.5cm long, about 1.6cm in diameter, off-white or light flesh-colored, soft or hollow. Slight smell, unique taste, slightly spicy.
