[Source] Medicinal material source: the stems and leaves of honeysuckle and Viburnum oxyphylla.

[Original form] Viburnum truncatum is an evergreen shrub, up to 2m tall. Young branches are densely covered with gray-brown star-shaped hairs, old branches are brown, and winter buds have no scales. Leaves are opposite; petiole is 5-10mm long; leaves are leathery, leaf blade is elliptic-ovate to oblong, 2-7cm long, 0.8-3.5cm wide, tip is rounded to slightly obtuse, base is rounded, margin is entire, margin is involute, dark green and shiny and glabrous above, covered with grayish white star-shaped felt hairs below, with 5-6 pairs of lateral veins raised below. The cyme is 5-7cm in diameter and has stellate hairs; the peduncle is stout, 1-3cm long, with usually 5 first-level radiating branches, and the flowers are usually born under the second-3rd-level radiating branches; the calyx tube is about 2mm long, and the calyx margin has 5 obtuse teeth; the corolla is white, with a light pink bud, radial, 6-7mm in diameter, and the corolla tube is about 1.5mm long; there are 5 stamens, which are about the same length as the corolla; the style is nearly equal to the calyx teeth. The drupe is oval, about 7mm long, first red and then black when ripe; the core is flat, with 2 shallow grooves on the back and 2 shallow grooves on the abdomen. The flowering period is from March to August, and the fruiting period is August.

【Usage and Dosage】 For external use: take appropriate amount, grind into powder and apply on the affected area. For internal use: decoction, 15-60g.
