"Zero-carbon agricultural products": Ding! Please check your "new green menu"

Organic food, also known as ecological or biological food, refers to all agricultural and sideline products and their processed products that meet international or national organic food requirements and standards and are certified by national organic food certification agencies, including grains, edible oils, fungi, vegetables, fruits, melons and fruits, dried fruits, dairy products, poultry and livestock products, honey, aquatic products, seasonings, etc. Its main feature is that they all come from an organic agricultural production system with good ecology, and no synthetic substances such as chemical pesticides, fertilizers, and chemical preservatives are used in the production process. Therefore, organic food is a kind of ecological food that is truly natural, nutritious, high-quality, safe and environmentally friendly.

Crops can absorb carbon dioxide during photosynthesis, fix carbon dioxide in the air, and collect it in crops and soil. To help achieve my country's "dual carbon" goals, eating organic vegetables will also be officially included in carbon reduction measures from June 9, 2022. Any vegetable packaging bag with a green circular logo - marked "zero-carbon agricultural products" means that the net greenhouse gas emissions of this package of vegetables during the production process are less than or equal to zero.

For example, at present, the green control coverage rate in Heilongjiang Province has reached more than 59%, which is 7.5 percentage points higher than the national average; the use of pesticides has declined for 11 consecutive years, and the application of fertilizers and pesticides for crops is 1/3 and 1/2 of the national average respectively; the provincial routine monitoring rate of agricultural product quality and safety has remained above 98% for 7 consecutive years. In 2022, the certified area of ​​green organic food in Heilongjiang Province will reach 91.371 million mu, ranking first in the country.

Mudanjiang City also attaches great importance to building a green organic food industry. By the end of May 2023, the total sown area of ​​crops in Mudanjiang City reached 10.6309 million mu. Among them, the certified area of ​​green organic food accounts for more than 50% of the total cultivated land area, which is in a leading position in the province. By consolidating the existing green organic food production base, the local area is committed to accelerating the creation of "green granaries", "green vegetable gardens" and "green kitchens", making positive contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the organic food industry.

In fact, organic products promote a healthy, environmentally friendly and balanced diet. Choosing to buy food that is grown in an organic, pollution-free and low-toxic way can also reduce the impact of production on the environment to a certain extent.
