[Source] The stems and leaves of the leguminous plant Abrassacus japonica. From May to October, pick young vines with leaves, cut them into small pieces about 2 cm long, and dry them in the sun.

[Habitat distribution] Produced in Guangdong, Guangxi and other places.

[Properties] Dry vine stems, thin and covered with sparse fine bristles. The leaves are pinnate compound leaves, with oblong leaflets that are smooth on the upper side and sparsely covered with fine bristles on the lower side that fall off easily. It has a slight smell and a sweet taste. The best ones are those with many leaves and green color.

[Chemical composition] The leaves contain saponins (such as glycyrrhizic acid).
