①Expectorant effect

Rabbits inhaled 0.9% ammonia water for 2 hours to produce acute inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, and took 3 ml/kg of Choulingdan liquid (first extract the volatile oil, then make a decoction with the residue, and add the volatile oil to the decoction, each ml containing 5 grams of the raw drug) orally; it can significantly reduce mucus secretion in the upper respiratory tract. If 10 ml/kg of Choulingdan liquid is taken orally, once every 1.5 hours for a total of 2 times, the animals will die within 12 hours.

③Antitumor effect

The methylene blue decolorization method was used to determine the activity of blood cell dehydrogenase in leukemia patients in test tubes. The concentrated ethanol extract of the decoction of Choulingdan had a strong inhibitory effect on the blood cell dehydrogenase of patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia, acute granulocytic leukemia and acute monocytic leukemia. It also has a significant inhibitory effect on the respiration of white blood cells in patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia (Warburg's respirometer test).
