What are the effects of Astragalus and Angelica?

Astragalus and Angelica are very familiar to some people who care about their health. Astragalus and Angelica have many functions, and they cover more than just a certain group. Whether you are younger or older, as long as you eat foods related to Astragalus and Angelica, there will definitely be some obvious effects. Let us now learn about the functions of Astragalus and Angelica.

I think many people are familiar with Astragalus, Angelica and Red Dates Tea, especially white-collar workers at work. Astragalus Angelica and Red Dates Tea is a tea composed of Chinese medicinal angelica, Chinese medicinal astragalus, red dates and tea. It has the effect of nourishing blood and activating blood circulation.

Astragalus is rich in lecithin and protein; red dates can promote the production of body fluids, regulate endocrine function, and promote the development of secondary sexual characteristics; peanuts are rich in protein, astragalus, red dates tea, and oil.

1. People with hot constitution, tuberculosis, etc. are not suitable for drinking;

2. It is not suitable to drink when you have a cold, fever or getting angry;

3. You can drink it during menstruation or not. If there are any abnormal conditions, stop drinking it. If there are no abnormal conditions, you can continue drinking it.

4. During drinking, it is best not to eat too greasy or too cold food. It is also best to eat less radish, as it will weaken the qi-replenishing effect of astragalus.

5. The dosage of 10g of Astragalus, plus the sweetness of red dates themselves, the decocted medicine has basically no medicinal taste. Do not add sugar randomly.

Ingredients: 10-15g Astragalus, 6 red dates, 2-3 small bowls of water

Drinking amount: 1-2 times a day

practice:

1. Soak the red dates in warm water, wash them and remove the core. (If you don’t remove the core, it will feel a bit hot and dry. If you have a cold constitution, you can also leave it alone.)

2. Soak the astragalus and red dates in clean water for 20-30 minutes. (Normal decoction of Chinese medicine requires soaking the herbs for 20-30 minutes to facilitate the extraction of the medicinal properties)

3. Turn on the fire, bring to a boil, then turn to low heat and cook for 20 minutes. (Don't use an induction cooker, use an open flame)

There are 3 steps. Generally, this method is used to decoct Chinese medicine unless there are special circumstances, that is, soak it first and then light the fire to cook it. It is best to use a casserole or porcelain pot for decocting Chinese medicine. If you don’t have one, use stainless steel. Do not use other metal containers.

How to brew Astragalus, Angelica and Red Dates tea

Qi and blood deficiency, what is the ratio of these three Chinese medicines to make tea? Is the brewing method the same as the usual tea brewing method?

There is a famous prescription from ancient times called "Danggui Buxue Tang". It is composed of two herbs: Astragalus and Angelica. There are certain requirements for the proportion of medicine used in Danggui Buxue Tang. The dosage ratio of Astragalus and Angelica is 5:1. Therefore, it is recommended that you use 15g of Astragalus, 3g of Angelica and one jujube (cracked) as tea instead of tea. Use 200 ml of water each time. Change the medicine once a day. For tonic medicine, try to decoct it. If it is inconvenient and you must drink it as tea, try to cut the medicine into smaller pieces and use boiling water each time you brew it. Let me remind you that there is a prerequisite for drinking Chinese herbal medicine as tea: you must have a basic correct judgment of your own condition. Red dates: also known as jujubes, are sweet in taste and warm in nature. They have the functions of nourishing the spleen and stomach, moistening the heart and lungs, promoting fluid production and quenching thirst, improving complexion, and opening the nine orifices. Astragalus has the effects of tonifying the middle and replenishing Qi, greatly replenishing vital energy, and unblocking blood circulation and activating collaterals. Combined with Chinese medicines such as angelica that nourish the blood and promote muscle growth, it does have the effect of beautifying and nourishing the skin.

Through the above interpretation of the effects of Astragalus and Angelica, we can see that they have many functions and effects that we are not aware of. Therefore, in life, when we need to maintain our health, it is best to use some more nutritious herbs. This will not only make our efforts worthwhile, but also allow the herbs to truly play a role.
