[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole herb of Gesneriaceae plant Convolvulus rustifolia.

[Original morphology] Rusty-haired spiral moss, a perennial herb with very short stems, 2-10cm long. Densely covered with rusty felt hair. The rhizome is thick, woody, and 4.5-12 cm long. Leaves are opposite, densely packed near the top of the stem; petiole is 1.5-7cm long; leaf blade is oblong or narrowly elliptic, 3-12cm long, 2-5.5cm wide, obtuse at the apex, rounded at the base, with densely covered small blunt teeth on the edge, covered with soft hairs and felt hairs on both sides, with 5-6 pairs of lateral veins, which are not obvious on the upper side. The inflorescence is umbellate, axillary in pairs, usually with 5-10 flowers; the peduncle is 4-8.5cm long, covered with rusty felt hairs, gradually falling off to almost glabrous during the fruiting period; the bracts are 2, ovate, covered with short felt hairs; the pedicel is thin, about 6mm long; the calyx is 5-parted, and the lobes are linear; the corolla is narrowly campanulate, lavender, rarely purple-red, with two lips at the rim, the upper lip is 2-lobed, the lower lip is 3-lobed, and the lobes are nearly equal; there are 2 stamens, the upper part of the filaments is swollen and sac-like, with short soft hairs, and the anthers are connected at the tip; the ovary is narrowly oblong, and the stigma is capitate. The capsule is linear, 3.5-4.5cm long, and spirally curled. The flowering period is June and the fruiting period is August.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in rock crevices of stone mountains at an altitude of 600-1600m.
