[Source] It is the whole herb of Japanese dogwood vine of the Caryophyllaceae family.

[Original form] Perennial herb, 1 to 1.5 meters long. The stem is slender, creeping, much branched, and densely covered with yellow fine hairs. Leaves are opposite and petiolate; leaf blades are ovate-lanceolate, ovate-elliptic or oblong, 1.5-3.5 cm long, 8-15 mm wide, with pointed apex, cuneate base, entire margin, and finely hairy on both sides. Flowers are axillary, calyx is 5-lobed; broadly lanceolate; petals are 5, white; stamens are 10. Fruit is spherical and slightly fleshy, black when ripe, calyx is persistent, flowering period is summer.

[Habitat distribution] Growing in grass on hillsides. Distributed from central to southwestern my country.
