Leaves in 2 rows, long ovate-broad-lanceolate, acuminate; midrib bifoliate, very short or absent; leaf margins finely serrated. The cells at the tip of the leaf are rhombic, while the cells in the middle and lower parts are narrow, fusiform or linear, with anterior horn processes. Dioecious. The capsule stalk is reddish brown and slender; the spore capsule is long oval and brown; the capsule cover is conical with a slender beak; the capsule teeth are yellow with horizontal stripes at the bottom; the capsule cap falls off early.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: grows in forest wetlands, on tree trunks, on rotten wood, and on humus on rock surface. It can be seen in all seasons.
